20th Meeting of the Steering group of the Priority Area 6

December 20, 2023in Featured

20th Steering Group Meeting of the Priority Area 6 was held on 6th and 7th November 2023 in Kopačevo, Croatia. The key topic that was discussed during the meeting was the Understanding of Roles of Key Actors within the Steering Group of the PA 6. The involvement of stakeholders in the implementation process has been a special feature of PA 6 from the beginning, and the Task Forces have succeeded in significantly expanding the PA 6 network and profitably complementing the Steering Group in terms of content.

Due to the changing framework conditions regarding key topics and governance, as well as personnel fluctuation over the years, there was a need to review and, if necessary, adjust the profile of PA6’s tasks as well as the internal organization and distribution of tasks to maintain them in the sense of multi-level governance in the future. The aim was to make PA 6 fit for the future and to make its working methods more efficient that includes all core actors of PA 6 (PACs, Steering Group Members and Task Forces). The topics that were also covered include youth involvement in the work of PA 6, synergies of PA 6 with other groups, funding opportunities Seed Money Facility, 2nd regular call for proposals of the Danube Region Programme.

Future Steps:

–              Structure capacity building needs of PA 6 key actors

–              Ensure more visibility of the PA 6 including enhancing visual identity of PA 6 and TF

–              Define focal points on different topics and enhance active role of SG members

–              Organize regular thematic meeting
