11th Steering Group Meeting

The first day of the Steering group Meeting included discussion on PA 06 Progress, PAC Participation in EUSDR / PA 06-events, PA 06 Studies that are currently in the process of preparation and implementation (ecosystem services, ecological connectivity, financing opportunities and revised roadmap) and update on PA6 Task forces recent progress and work. Also the Danube Strategy Point representative presented a new DTP structure as well as following tasks.

The second day was dedicated to the discussion on revision of the 2010 Action Plan (AP). In order to connect the AP with the appropriate funding DG Environment via video conference presented the EC proposal for cohesion policy post 2020.

 

 

Based on a prepared matrix, the SG jointly elaborated the first overview of the proposal for revision, focusing on Actions and projects. Also, SG took note on the open questions regarding the revision process primarily related to the need to set up clear time frame of the new action plan and how does this reflect to the current PA6 2020 targets, how to create interlinkage with the global post 2020 biodiversity framework which is happening after AP revisions. PACs will present the outcomes ate the upcoming NC PAC meeting in Vienna, 6-7 December 2018.
